This month we will reflect on the "Works of Mercy"
and how to 'live it' in our everyday lives.
Note: If you missed our 'Family In-Person Session' and you would like to help your child make their own "Works of Mercy Booklet" please go to http://catechistsjourney.loyolapress.com/2010/01/works-of-mercy-booklet/ and follow the directions. Then have your child(ren) make a star on the appropriate page when they do an 'act of mercy'.
Parents, please watch these two videos below about how children can perform the Corporal Works of Mercy. You may want to watch the videos by yourself first so that you will be able to stop it along the way and explain what is being said in your own words to your child. You may even decide to just talk about what the video is saying if you feel that your child is too young to understand what the young girl is saying in the video.

Click on the picture(left) to go to a family "activity" page and get some more ideas on how to 'live' the Works of Mercy.
Parents, please read the article below and then have a discussion with your child(ren) about how your family is already 'living' the Works of Mercy. Have the children share examples of how they are living them, or how they might be able to practice them more often or in different ways. Explain that whatever they do for someone else, they are doing for Jesus.
