We learned the meaning of Pharisees. We liked the story of the vines and the metaphor of how we resemble vines. There was some confusion on the boy scout story but we learned that we must have patience for folks we don't always like. We also thought it was neat how Kate helped Emma with the sand to show her that it could be done and assist her, to not get in trouble. Even thou Emma was scared of the fish.
Emaleigh learned how important it is to really think about what you are praying about instead of just saying words, and god truly is listening even though we cant hear him. The prayer sticks helped her realize just how many people in our little family need praying for.
Our daughter learned that part of the Hail Mary prayer came from the words of Gabriel to her. She also was reminded that prayer can be done anytime/anywhere and that God wants us to pray to Him...even when we don't feel like it. She enjoyed working on the family prayer and realized through that activity that she wanted to write more prayers with her own words.
We reviewed and prayed the Apostle's Creed. We learned that praying together as a family is important. We learned that God should be part of our lives every day.
we learned that god will always be there, he'll always listen to our prayers, and that we can always act for forgiveness.
